McCormick and Kuleto's--Ghirardelli Square San Francisco

"Panoramic Sunsets and Seafood in an Elegant Setting"

An all time favorite in the "City By The Bay" is Mc Cormick and Kuleto's located at the famous Ghirardelli Square.   From Wikipedia, "In 1893, Domingo Ghirardelli purchased the entire city block in order to make it into the headquarters of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. In the early 1960s, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company was bought by the Golden Grain Macaroni Company which moved the headquarters off-site to San Leandro and put the square up for sale."

Today there are many retail shops and restaurants.  The Fairmont Place, also in the square, is part of the Fairmont Hotel chain that has privately owned condos. Famous Chef Gary Danko also plans on opening a new restaurant there in the near future.

Mc Cormick and Kuleto's is timeless perfection. It always exceeds expectations with its warm setting, great service, and views from every table of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge and fresh seafood.

Its cozy bar area serves a variety of oysters, beer and wine and offers a daily happy hour bar menu with a great burger and fries ($3.95) at very reasonable prices from $2.95 to $5.95. Best Happy Hour Food in Town!

My favorite is the Parmesan Crusted Petrale Sole that is usually served with a seasonal vegetable and mashed potatoes. It is perfectly cooked and so delicate that it almost melts in your mouth.

After dinner, you can wander around the famous Ghirardelli Square and get a free sample of chocolate and decadent deserts at the Ghirardelli Ice cream store.

There are also local artists playing their music and at Christmas a special tree lighting that is always fun to attend.
