Waterbar- Panoramic views of the Bay and San Francisco skyline-

Waterbar
“Waterbar owner Pat Kuleto, a restaurant entrepreneur, designer and vintner, has designed and built more than 175 restaurants worldwide. He is co-owner and designer of the highly regarded Boulevard, Farallon, and Jardinière in San Francisco and Martini House in St. Helena. He is also the proprietor of his namesake Kuleto Estate Winery in the Napa Valley.
The main floor at Waterbar features dramatic, 19-foot tall, five-foot diameter, floor-to-ceiling circular aquariums filled with an eye-catching array of fish and marine life from the Pacific Ocean, while walls of vividly illuminated fish tanks display a gallery of fresh catches available on that day's menu. The extravagant cascading raw bar, towering with shellfish and lit through glistening ice, sets the tone for the raw bar dining area. A hand-blown glass "caviar" chandelier serves as the focal point in the bar area, adding a festive sparkle to the proceedings, and the open kitchen fills the main dining room with a lively — and deliciously aromatic — brasserie ambiance. "
We sat outside and the weather was warm sunny and clear with spectacular views of the Bay and Oakland Bay Bridge. The atmosphere immediately soothes your soul  whether you are a  business person enjoying lunch or a lucky visitor on vacation in the great "City By The Bay."

An assortment of oysters are featured in a  "Come Unhinged" daily  happy hour between 11- 6 p.m  for $1.00 each. After 6, they are only $2.00.  They are very fresh and it is very entertaining to watch the chefs  prepare them at their modern open bar overlooking the Bay.

Executive Chef Parke Ulrich has a variety of perfectly prepared entrees with detailed presentation that causes your senses to radiate with joy.

I choose the seared Northern Whitefish from Lake Superior that was fabulous. It was prepared with charred eggplant, romano beans, and pesto tomato. They even tell you the Fisherman's name and boat he was on when he caught the fish.

Linda had the Grilled Calamari with griddle corn cake, summer squash slaw and sweet corn relish that brought a satisfied foodie smile to her happy face.

Our nephew Matthew from Michigan joined us today.  He had the Softshell Crab, fresh black eyed peas, heirloom tomatoes and crab aioli that insured another visit to the "City By The Bay" real soon.

If you are planning a private party, there is a room upstairs complete with bar that would be perfect for any special occasion or business event that can serve up to 50 people.
